The parking place in the garage is number 33. It is diagonally opposite the entrance to the lift. Use the green token to enter and to leave the garage again.
Other than the token, there are two keys for the letterbox downstairs at the ground level entrance. The parking place in the garage is number 33. It is diagonally opposite the entrance to the lift. Use the green token to enter and to leave the garage again.
Other than the token, there are two keys for the letterbox downstairs at the ground level entrance. There are also two keys for opening the door to the entrance on the ground floor and for the bicycle park next to the entrance. You have the right to park two bicycles there. The penthouse has floor heating all round. The temperature is controlled from a thermostat in the living room. There are also thermostats for setting the individual temperature in the other two rooms but this can never be higher then the temperature set for the living room. In the summer, this heating can be set to cool the penthouse, but only to a certain limit. Please refer to separate instructions for this. The extractor fans work automatically but this can be overridden by switches with a small red indicator light.
Some of the windows can only be opened conventionally, some can also be opened with a slant to the top. Always be careful if there are children around as these open windows are not particularly high!
When you enter the penthouse, there is a coatrack on the left, as well as a shoe rack that can be shortened or lengthened. After that, there is a cupboard where electricity meters and switches can be found. The water meter and access point for the internet cable is also there. It is also a good place to position the internet router, there is a strong signal to the entire penthouse, and there are several internet connection points in the penthouse.
The toilet is the first door on the right.
The second door on the right is the bathroom. Additional heating is available by plugging the towel heater in. There is a remote control to programme and/or control the heated towel rack.
The first door on the left is the main bedroom. There is lots of storage space for clothing etc but there is also lots of room under the mattress holder for things like extra duvets. The light in this room is a Philips Hue smart light. It is highly recommended that you connect the Hue bridge that is available directly to the internet router and that you install the Philips Hue app in your phone and tablet. There is an awful lot that you can do with these lights. The ones in the main bedroom and the kitchen can be dimmed and you can change the colour or warmth. For the ones in the living room and second room, you can also create colour schemes. You can also control all lights simultaneously by creating desired atmospheres for the entire penthouse.
In the living room there is an additional wall light which can be dimmed and controlled by a separate remote control. In the living room there is a smart TV with connection that can easily be reached below it at the wall sockets. There are also connections here for an internet cable and a HDMI connection for a gaming console. The sound bar in permanently connected to the TV but can also be used through a Bluetooth connection.
In the second room there is a smart TV with a Google Chrome connection. There is also a desk with an electrically adjustable height and an internet cable connection. Both the wall light and the ceiling light are of the Philips Hue variety with colour options.
In the kitchen, we will find a Bosch washing machine and tumble drier combination. There is a Quooker tap which provides instant hot water. Push the ribbed part of the tap twice down and turn anti clockwise for instant boiling water. There is a Bosch coffee machine with many possible beverages and an internet connection possibility for even more choices. The machine does require occasional cleaning maintenance, just follow the instructions on the screen. The cleaning and descaling tablets are available online and at Media Markt in the centre of Hoofddorp. There are instruction manuals for all these machines, as well as the oven, fridge and induction hob with built-in extractor fan. The 4 kitchen spotlights are also of the Philips Hue variety.
There is ample more storage space and a sink in the utility room. I would advice against touching any of the machinery here. In the unlikely event of a malfunction here, contact the mechanic rather than trying to fix things yourself.
Be careful with leaving the door to the roof terrace open at times of strong wind. There is an extra socket on the roof terrace on a separate electric group which could be used for a heater, for example. There is also a storage box on the roof terrace, large enough to take the six chairs that go with the large table there. This could be useful at times of rain or stormy weather.
